Perfume.com smelling like a rose with 29% Q3 sales increase
Web-only scent retailer Perfume.com recorded sales of $1.93 million in the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2008, an increase of 29% compared with $1.5 million in the prior year quarter.
Third quarter sales marked the fourth consecutive period with quarterly year-over-year revenue growth of more than 27%, says parent company Live Current Media Inc. Net loss for Q3 was $3.05 million vs. a loss of $429,166 in the same quarter of 2007.
“Despite challenging market conditions, Perfume.com is well positioned for continued growth during the fourth quarter holiday season, our busiest and most important time of the year,” says Geoffrey Hampson, Live Current chairman and CEO.
Through the first three quarters of fiscal 2008 Perfume.com, No. 469 in the , recorded $5.67 million in sales, up by 29% compared with $4.39 million in the same period last year. Net loss for the period was $7 million compared with a loss of $677,118 in the first nine months of 2007.
